All products supplied and installed by CGF Security & Electrical include a 12-month warranty from the date of installation covering manufacturer defects and installation faults.
The warranty applies only to equipment supplied by CGF and installed by our technicians.
The warranty does not cover: ○ Customer-supplied products ○ User error or system setting changes ○ Network, internet or power issues ○ Damage caused by other trades, pests or environmental factors ○ Equipment modified or interfered with after installation
2. Aftercare Support
CGF provides aftercare support during the warranty period for genuine system faults and installation issues.
Where possible, out-of-hours technical support may be provided.
Support relating to user error, changed settings, network issues or environmental factors is not covered under warranty and may incur a service fee.
3. Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage is limited to: ○ Faulty products supplied by CGF ○ Installation or configuration faults caused by CGF technicians
Where a product fault is confirmed, CGF will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
4. Non-Warranty Issues
Service visits outside warranty conditions will incur a minimum call-out fee of $299.
This includes but is not limited to issues such as: ○ User error or unfamiliarity with system operation ○ Changes to system or app settings after handover ○ False alarms ○ Internet, Wi-Fi or power issues ○ Environmental damage or wear ○ Damage caused by other trades or pests ○ Requests for additional training or system reconfiguration
5. Installation Sign-Off
At completion of installation, the client must sign a System Sign-Off Form confirming: ○ The installation has been completed and approved ○ The system has been demonstrated and explained ○ App access and settings have been confirmed
Issues arising after sign-off due to user changes or system adjustments may incur service charges.
6. Service & Call-Out Fees
A minimum call-out fee of $299 applies to service visits outside warranty scope.
Labour is charged in 60-minute increments at the standard hourly rate.
Where cancellations occur with less than 24 hours’ notice, CGF reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the scheduled service cost.
If materials have been purchased for a scheduled job, these costs will be charged to the client.
7. Booking & Scheduling
Acceptance of a quote does not guarantee immediate scheduling.
Standard installation lead time is 2–3 weeks, subject to workload and product availability.
Priority bookings within 2 weeks may be available for an additional $299 priority service fee.
CGF is not responsible for delays caused by supplier shortages, weather, site conditions or other circumstances outside our control.
8. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 1 day of the final invoice.
Deposits or stage payments may be required for larger projects.
For jobs exceeding $1,000 (ex GST) a deposit of up to 50% may be requested.
All equipment supplied and installed remains the property of CGF Security & Electrical until payment is received in full.
9. Debt Recovery
Invoices unpaid after 30 days may be referred to a debt recovery agency.
The client will be liable for: ○ Debt recovery costs ○ Legal fees ○ Interest and admin fees starting at $5 can be charged daily from overdue date
CGF reserves the right to suspend warranty and service support for overdue accounts.
Where accounts remain unpaid beyond 60 days, the CGF warranty may be void.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Clients must: ○ Provide safe and clear access to the work site ○ Inform CGF of any access restrictions or changes to plans ○ Ensure underground services are clearly marked where applicable ○ Avoid modifying installed systems without CGF approval
CGF is not liable for damage caused by unmarked services, existing wiring faults or unsuitable site conditions.
11. Client-Supplied Materials
Where clients supply their own equipment, CGF does not guarantee: ○ Compatibility with existing systems ○ Performance or reliability ○ Warranty coverage
Additional labour may be required for installation or troubleshooting of customer supplied equipment.
12. Monitoring Services
Where CGF assists in arranging alarm or CCTV monitoring services, these services are provided by a third-party monitoring provider.
CGF acts only as the security licence holder facilitating the service and is not responsible for monitoring performance or call-out responses.
Any administration or call-out fees issued by the monitoring company will be passed on to the client.
13. Cancellation or Access Failure
CGF may pause or cancel work where: ○ Access to the installation site is not provided ○ The job scope changes significantly ○ Critical information was not disclosed during quoting ○ The work becomes unsafe or impractical
Where cancellations occur after materials have been purchased, these costs will be passed on to the client.
14. Limitation of Liability
CGF Security & Electrical is not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of business, profit, or security incidents.
Security systems are risk mitigation tools only and do not guarantee prevention of theft, intrusion, fire or loss.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
16. Amendments
CGF reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will be provided with quotes and invoices.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By accepting a CGF quote, paying a deposit, or signing the installation sign-off form, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, installations, invoices, and services provided by CGF Security & Electrical Pty Ltd.
